SwimRVA hosts 2017 Champs Competition
Located in Chesterfield County, SwimRVA serves the Greater Richmond area as a catalyst for regional aquatics and community-wide focus on water safety, health & fitness, sports tourism and competitive swimming.
SwimRVA is a ColonialWebb customer that we are proud to support! They hosted the 2017 Champs Competition where surrounding leagues came to compete against one another during the week of July 24th. SwimRVA’s facility was home to thousands of competitors during the very eventful week. Board member Bobby Ukrop stated how amazed he was to see the facility transformed into a carnival-like atmosphere for more than 4,000 swimmers and 6,000 spectators to enjoy.
Mitch Haddon who also serves on the board for SwimRVA visited the facility early Friday morning and made a few observations of his own. He noted that the “house” was packed, the energy level was off the charts, and that parents, grandparents, kids, coaches, staff, and competitors were hustling around clearly enjoying the entire experience! From his viewpoint upstairs looking out over the pool at 8:15 AM, he could feel the excitement of the day about to unfold!
And a huge shout out to Kelly, Eric, and Dave on our service team for keeping things running smoothly during this huge event! As stated by Adam Kennedy, Executive Director of SwimRVA, “We could not have executed this without ColonialWebb”.
Great job to all who participated! #SwimForIt
